Was nicht Propaganda ist

"Liberating Memory" heißt die gemeinsam von der Stadt Berlin, der Europäischen Union und den Vereinten Nationen organisierte Luftbrücke in den Gazastreifen. Gerade fliegt wieder ein Rosinenbomber ein und wirft seine "Berlin" getaufte Ladung ab, die angeblich von den belagerten Zivilisten willkommen geheißen wird.

Hinterlistig

Ein Dorf geht den Bach runter. Aus Tropenhölzern, Palmblättern und Kokosfasern hat Stephan Weitzel kleine Hütten gebastelt, die er auf einem Fluss aussetzte und abwärts treiben ließ.

Lebkuchen- und Bauhaus

Neueste Arbeiten von Stephan Weitzel, Jahrgang 1970, sind unter dem doppeldeutigen Titel „richtfest“ in der Galerie Naumann zu sehen. Zwei Toastbrottürme ranken nebeneinander empor, einer ist im oberen Drittel angeknabbert, langsam scheint sich der Zwillingsturm zu neigen. „ Me and You“ lautet der Titel der Skulptur, Weitzel beherrscht das Spiel mit vorgefertigten Assoziationen, direkter geht es nimmer.
